Job Description Service Technician – TRS Offshore (Tubular Running Services) Offshore Rotation – Norway
Are you looking to build an offshore career within technical well services? Weatherford Norway is looking for Service Technicians to join our TRS (Tubular Running Services) team.
You will work offshore operating and maintaining remotely operated equipment used for handling and making up casing and tubing. This role is ideal for candidates with an electrical, mechanical, or hydraulic background who want hands-on experience with PLC-based control systems and advanced field equipment.
About The Role As a Service Technician, you will:
- Rig up, operate, and rig down TRS equipment offshore
- Perform make-up of casing and tubing (2 7/8” – 36”) according to OEM and client requirements
- Ensure well integrity through precise execution
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting
- Report daily to the onshore support team
- Follow HSE procedures and participate in safety meetings
- Represent Weatherford at the rig site
You will work closely with experienced technicians both offshore and in the workshop, building competence over time. The position reports to the Field Personnel Supervisor.
Qualifications Required:
- Trade certificate in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or related discipline
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within TRS (field, workshop, or related technical work)
- Good English communication skills
