Server, Server Wait Staff

About This Role

This server position in a senior living community involves creating a welcoming dining experience for residents, preparing for meal services, and maintaining a tidy dining area. The role suits an energetic individual who enjoys interacting with seniors and is attentive to their needs.

Responsibilities

• Greet residents and make them feel welcome
• Be present in the dining room, mingle, and entertain residents
• Foster an environment where residents can connect
• Prep tables for service
• Prep salads for meals
• Roll silverware
• Bus tables and sweep floors
• Communicate with supervisors and Wellness when poor dietary habits or unusual changes in appetite are observed
• Communicate when residents are absent from meals

Requirements

• At least sixteen (16) years of age
• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English at a minimum of 8th grade proficiency with residents
• Positive and energetic attitude
• Active, requiring standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and stooping all day
• Ability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 50 pounds
• Ability to assist residents with sitting, standing, and walking, as well as assisting persons after a fall
• Criminally cleared

• Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday 6:30am to 2:00pm
