About This Role

The Server promptly and warmly greets guests, takes food and beverage orders efficiently, and delivers them professionally while maintaining safe food handling and sanitation standards. This role involves communicating with back-of-the-house staff, maintaining buffets, and ensuring the dining room is properly set up before and after service.

Responsibilities

• Promptly and warmly greet guests in the dining room
• Take food and beverage orders in an efficient manner, following established steps of service
• Deliver food promptly and professionally
• Maintain safe food handling and sanitation standards
• Follow up periodically to assist with any additional needs or requests
• Maintain a buffet
• Communicate directly with back-of-the-house staff to ensure orders are delivered correctly and special requests are accommodated
• Exhibit exceptional communication skills and demonstrate ability to get along well with others
• Remain flexible and patient when communicating with guests and staff
• Promote a clean, safe, and neat environment for guests
• Maintain a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal or medical information that is shared
• Promptly address complaints or issues; relay relevant information or complaints directly to supervisor
• Ensure that the dining room is properly set up prior to and after the service period; keep area clean and neat while meeting established sanitation standards
• Operate a variety of equipment, buffets, tray jacks and carts, and coffee machines
• Work with staff of other departments to perform job duties during special events and functions
• Perform other duties as assigned
