About This Role

Serving food and beverages to guests in the restaurants, bars, pool, and beach areas is the core of this role, ensuring guest satisfaction with every interaction. The server is responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment while delivering a friendly and efficient service experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute all assigned tasks
• Demonstrate a high degree of standards awareness; promote teamwork and act as a role model
• Attend all scheduled training sessions
• Display warmth, care, and genuine enthusiasm when dealing with guests and internal customers
• Adhere to the hotel's code of conduct and grooming and hygiene standards
• Work hands-on and assist colleagues in crunch times
• Actively participate in briefings and meetings
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area and promote a safe working environment
• Perform any other cognate duties as and when required
• Be able to respond positively when asked to be polyvalent to perform duty from one Food and Beverage outlet to another, including Beau Champ Restaurant, Acquapazza Restaurant, Bambou Restaurant, In Villa Dining, Private Bar, Umi Zaka Restaurant, Lobby Bar, Pool and Beach, Ile au Cerf
• Prepare mise-en-place; set up and clear tables/sunbeds in the work area
• Maintain high standards of hygiene and orderliness
• Provide genuine hospitality and recognition, act as host/hostess in the work area
• Promote hotel services and products
• Take orders for, serve (where applicable, prepare) food and beverages to guests as per hotel standards in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner
• Possess a high degree of product knowledge and relevant technical skills
• Keep abreast of events in the hotel
• Anticipate guest needs, offer suggestions, and ascertain satisfaction
• Take ownership of guest concerns and requests and act decisively to ensure guest satisfaction when glitches occur
• Describe food and beverage menu items with interesting and vivid descriptions in a concise, informative, and appropriate manner
• Be highly sensitive to guest preferences; assist in compiling guest history; offer a special service touch when an opportunity is presented
• Requisition supplies according to established procedures
• Accurately post guest checks, process payments, and adhere to related control procedures in a vigilant manner

Requirements

• 1-2 years of relevant experience in 5-star hotels/resorts or reputable stand-alone restaurants
• Excellent English, math, and psychometric abilities
• Aptitude and upward mobility
