About This Role
The Server at Sorella by Giada is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service in a high-volume, upscale dining environment. This position involves ensuring accurate order taking, food and beverage delivery, and adherence to service standards while creating a memorable dining experience for all guests.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and courteously upon arrival at assigned tables.
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and make knowledgeable food and beverage recommendations.
- Accurately input food and beverage orders into the POS system.
- Deliver food and beverages in a timely and professional manner.
- Monitor guest satisfaction and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
- Process guest payments accurately (cash, credit, comps, rewards).
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned section, side stations, and dining room.
- Complete assigned opening, side work, and closing duties.
- Follow all company service standards and steps of service.
- Maintain proper food handling and sanitation standards.
- Comply with all state and local alcohol service regulations.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Promote property events, promotions, and loyalty programs when appropriate.
- Maintain a professional appearance in accordance with company standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous serving experience in upscale or high-volume restaurant preferred.
- Strong knowledge of food, wine, and beverage service.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic math skills for handling payments and making change.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift and carry trays up to 25 lbs.
