About This Role
This SEO Specialist role involves developing and implementing comprehensive SEO strategies, with a focus on Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and technical SEO improvements. The position suits an analytical specialist who can translate data into actionable recommendations and enjoys mentoring junior colleagues within a dynamic team setting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement integral SEO strategies, collaborating with content and marketing teams
- Work on Generative Engine Optimization: prepare content and data for AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Gemini, and Perplexity
- Analyze and improve the technical aspects of websites: architecture, loading speed, structured data, indexation, and Core Web Vitals
- Conduct keyword and search intent research and translate it into content that works for both search engines and readers
- Work on off-page factors such as link building, entity SEO, and strengthening brand authority
- Utilize AI tools to make work faster and smarter, from analysis to content production
- Dive into data, build dashboards, and translate figures into concrete recommendations
- Present insights and results to clients and colleagues
- Guide junior colleagues and actively share knowledge within the team
- Collaborate with project managers, digital consultants, CRM and performance specialists, and the creative team
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of work experience in SEO, preferably agency-side
- Demonstrable knowledge of technical SEO and ability to independently perform an audit
- Keep up-to-date with developments in AI Search and GEO, and preferably have experimented with them
- Proficient in tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Semrush or Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog
- Strong analytical skills and ability to extract a story from data that a client understands
- Take initiative: do not wait for someone to point out an opportunity, see it yourself
- Be a pleasant conversationalist and able to explain complex matters clearly
- Enjoy helping juniors develop further and sharing knowledge
- Fluent in Dutch, written and spoken; English is a plus
- Full-time availability and preferably live within a reasonable distance of Utrecht
