SEO Specialist

About This Role

This SEO Specialist position involves creating, executing, and managing organic search strategies for clients. The role focuses on translating marketing goals into successful organic strategies, ensuring client websites comply with SEO best practices, and reporting on web KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Create, execute, and manage organic search strategies for clients
• Translate client's marketing goals into a successful organic strategy
• Review all relevant material or attend meetings to gain a full understanding of client's marketing/site goals and objectives
• Develop keyword targeting strategy
• Audit client websites to ensure SEO best practice compliance
• Provide development consulting to troubleshoot technical SEO issues
• Develop ongoing link building strategies and implement said strategies
• Perform on-page optimizations on a page-by-page basis and regular SEO audits
• Report on web KPIs with a focus on keyword/page ranking and new natural search traffic opportunities
• Research and monitor competitor SEO activities
• Utilize tools including BrightEdge or Stat, Google Keyword Planner, Majestic, Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Screaming Frog
• Work with programming languages: JavaScript, HTML, CSS
• Apply knowledge of Google’s algorithm updates and penalties, on-page SEO, and technical (site crawlability)
• Use Regex Matching (Regular Expressions)
• Utilize Google Site Operators
• Conduct link building keyword research and strategy

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of SEO experience, preferably in an agency setting
• Experience with HTML and CSS
• Ability to identify growth opportunities
• Strong presentation skills, including the ability to communicate complex data in simple terms
• Keen eye for details and excellent organizational skills
• Strong technical SEO background
• Experience working with web development teams
