The Role
VML is looking for a Senior UX/UI Design Lead to drive experience design strategy across key client accounts in Sportswear, Beauty, Luxury, and FMCG. You will lead Tmall/Taobao store design initiatives, mentor designers, win client pitches, and champion AI-driven creative workflows to accelerate team output.
Key Responsibilities
- UX/UI Strategy: Set the strategic vision for flagship e-commerce stores on Tmall, balancing brand storytelling with conversion performance.
- AI Innovation: Implement AI-assisted design workflows (AIGC, generative visual systems, automated layout tools) to optimize production speed and creative quality.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of UX/UI designers, setting high creative benchmarks and upskilling talent on AI tools.
- Client & Pitch Leadership: Present design strategies to senior client stakeholders and lead creative direction for new business pitches.
- Data-Informed Design: Use conversion metrics and heatmaps to continuously optimize e-commerce user journeys.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years in UX/UI design, with 2+ years leading teams in digital agencies, TPs, or brand e-commerce teams.
- Tmall Expertise: Deep mastery of Tmall/Taobao store frameworks, mobile consumer behaviors, and campaign design strategies (Double 11, 6.18).
- AI Design Mastery: Proven experience integrating AI design tools (Claude, Midjourney, Stable Diffusion, ComfyUI, Firefly) into production pipelines.
- Skills: Expert in Figma, prototyping, design system architecture, and client presentations.
- Languages: Fluent in Mandarin and English.
