About This Role
This senior engineering role focuses on designing and implementing high-performance 3D applications using Unreal Engine. The developer will collaborate with cross-functional teams and help shape the future of real-time visualization and interactive experiences, working with C++ and Blueprint.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize high-performance systems and gameplay mechanics using Unreal Engine 4/5
- Implement advanced features, including AI, physics, rendering, and networking
- Collaborate with designers and artists to ensure seamless integration of gameplay features and assets
- Write, debug, and maintain clean, modular, and scalable C++ / Blueprint code
- Lead technical discussions, contribute to project planning, and provide expert guidance on Unreal Engine best practices
- Identify and address technical challenges, ensuring performance and stability across platforms
- Stay updated with the latest Unreal Engine developments and implement new features/tools as needed
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience with Unreal Engine development
- Proficiency in C++ and Unreal Engine Blueprint scripting
- Strong understanding of Unreal Engine systems (e.g., gameplay framework, animation, rendering, AI, and physics)
- Experience with optimizing games for performance and scalability across platforms (PC, console, mobile, etc.)
- Familiarity with multiplayer/networked gameplay systems and techniques
- Knowledge of industry-standard tools, workflows, and pipelines
- Located in CET timezone (+/- 3 hours); applications from candidates in other time zones cannot be considered
Nice to have:
- Experience in Tool Development
- Experience working on shipped titles
- Familiarity with VR/AR development using Unreal Engine
- Knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g., Python, C#)
- Experience with source control tools like Git, Perforce, or SVN
