Senior Underwriter / Underwriter

About This Role

This role involves performing daily facultative underwriting tasks for the international market and maintaining strong relationships with clients and producers. It suits an experienced professional in general insurance or reinsurance who is patient, attentive, and possesses strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily facultative underwriting tasks for the international market
• Maintain good business relationship with clients and producers
• Discover business opportunities, track and follow up potential business
• Conduct regular business review and prepare business reports
• Assist in training and supervising junior staff
• Participate in ad hoc projects as assigned by department head

Requirements

• Degree holder or equivalent
• Possess ACII/FCII or equivalent qualification is a definite advantage
• Familiar with insurance/reinsurance industry, minimum 8 years
• Good in both written and spoken Chinese and English
• Patient and attentive, strong sense of responsibility, good interpersonal coordination and communication skills, willing to work under pressure
• Candidate with less experience can be considered as underwriter
