Job Overview
Provides advanced technical expertise and independent execution of supplier quality engineering activities supporting product development, manufacturing, supplier management, and continuous improvement initiatives. Serves as a key contributor on cross-functional teams, driving effective resolution of supplier quality issues while ensuring compliance with quality system and regulatory requirements.
Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties
- Supplier Management & Qualification
• Manage supplier quality activities for assigned suppliers, commodities, and processes within SWICC; support GetQMS Supplier Quality initiatives.
• Lead qualification activities including FAI, component qualifications, process validations, and supplier change evaluations.
• Serve as the primary liaison with suppliers to align quality expectations and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Oversee site-level supplier management activities including audits, certification, corrective actions, and incoming inspection support.
- Quality Engineering & Continuous Improvement
• Lead complex quality investigations using root cause analysis, statistical techniques, and structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Develop and maintain inspection procedures, sampling plans, work instructions, and test methods.
• Champion continuous improvement initiatives through SPC, non-destructive testing, cost-effective sampling plans, and other quality engineering tools.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate supplier quality performance metrics, trends, and improvement opportunities to management and stakeholders.
- Systems, Compliance & Risk Management
• Perform or support Test Method Validation (TMV), Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA), and CAPA activities.
• Lead risk management teams utilizing FMEA, Hazard Analysis, Risk Assessments, and Quality Plans.
• Represent the company during regulatory inspections, audits, and third-party assessments.
• Support the Material Review Board (MRB) by providing disposition of non-conforming material.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to define and communicate component specifications and quality requirements.
• Review and approve component specifications, Change Requests (CRs), and other change control documentation.
Minimum Requirements
• Bachelor’s or above degree with at least five years industry experience.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word/Excel) is required.
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Basic knowledge in the areas of lot acceptance, sampling methodologies, MSA/GR&R, CAPA, root cause analysis, and other statistical techniques.
• Audit experience is required.
