Senior Storage Engineer / Cloud Recovery Architect

About This Role

This role is for an experienced Senior Storage Engineer / Cloud Recovery Architect to design and implement a secure, air-gapped cloud recovery environment, supporting cyber recovery and ransomware response initiatives. The ideal candidate will have proven experience architecting, deploying, and operating clean room recovery environments, including isolated infrastructure, recovery validation processes, and secure workload restoration procedures. This position will lead cloud-based recovery architecture design, develop operational runbooks, and establish recovery testing and governance standards, requiring strong hands-on expertise with Dell PowerMax, NetApp ONTAP, and Commvault.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure, air-gapped cloud recovery environments for cyber recovery and ransomware response
• Architect and operate clean room recovery environments with isolated infrastructure and secure workload restoration capabilities
• Develop recovery architectures integrating storage, backup, networking, and cloud services
• Establish operational runbooks, recovery testing procedures, and governance standards
• Validate recovery designs and assess recovery readiness against business continuity requirements
• Lead recovery orchestration, testing, and validation activities to ensure reliable restoration of critical workloads
• Perform technology assessments, storage capacity planning, and recovery infrastructure optimization
• Collaborate with cybersecurity, infrastructure, storage, and business continuity teams
• Define secure recovery workflows to minimize downtime and ensure predictable recovery outcomes

Requirements

• Proven experience designing and implementing air-gapped cyber recovery environments
• Hands-on experience architecting and operating clean room recovery environments
• Strong expertise with Dell PowerMax storage
• Strong expertise with NetApp ONTAP
• Hands-on experience with Commvault backup and recovery solutions
• Experience integrating enterprise storage, backup, networking, and cloud infrastructure
• Knowledge of ransomware recovery, cyber resilience, and secure workload restoration
• Experience developing recovery runbooks, recovery testing procedures, and operational governance standards
• Strong understanding of disaster recovery (DR), business continuity, and recovery validation processes
• Experience with storage architecture, capacity planning, and recovery design validation
