About the role:

• The client Software Technology Solutions Division (STS) highly skilled and experienced Staff Systems Engineer to lead the development and evolution of our Cloud Data Platform. In this role, you will drive the strategy, vision, and execution of our data platform products, ensuring they meet the needs of our customers and align with our business objectives.
• This position requires an enthusiastic technical leader to work across the entire stack, building highly scalable multi-tenant SaaS platform that enable measurable business growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and articulate a clear product strategy for the Cloud Data Platform in alignment with company goals and market trends.
• Identify and prioritize key features and capabilities to enhance the platform's value proposition.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to define and communicate product requirements.
• Work closely with key stakeholders to gather feedback and incorporate it into the product development process.
• Create and maintain a comprehensive product roadmap for the Cloud Data Platform, balancing short-term priorities with long-term strategic goals.
• Regularly communicate roadmap updates to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Actively explore and evaluate emerging technologies and trends in cloud data platforms.
• Engage in hands-on exploration of new tools, frameworks, and methodologies to inform product development via product specs.
• Drive innovation by proposing and implementing new features and functionalities.
• Champion a user-centric approach to product development, collaborating with design teams to ensure an intuitive and seamless user experience.
• Conduct user research and gather insights to inform product decisions.
• Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and adoption of the Cloud Data Platform.
• Utilize data to make informed decisions and iterate on the product strategy.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their needs and gather insights for product improvement.
• Act as a customer advocate within the organization.

Required Skills And Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will bring together a combination of strategic understanding, technology and process improvement experience, solution engineering skills, and the ability to communicate to all levels in an organization.
• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering field or equivalent
• At least 7+ years of experience in building large-scale software applications.
• At least 7+ years of experience in Agile software development and scrum team management
• Proven track record of successfully bringing data platform products to market.
• Strong understanding of cloud technologies, data architecture, and related tools.
• Hands-on experience with exploring and evaluating emerging technologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams.

Educational Requirements

• Bachelors or master’s in computer science, Information Systems, or an engineering field.
• 7+ years of related experience in developing data solutions, data platform architecture, data warehouses, visualization tools, analytics delivery, and data catalogs.
