It suits a senior Ruby on Rails engineer who can develop and maintain high-quality, clean, and secure Ruby code, ensuring reliability and long-term maintainability.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and scale distributed backend systems to support financial and mission-critical workloads
• Develop and maintain high-quality, clean, and secure Ruby code, ensuring reliability and long-term maintainability
• Work with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and apply solid principles of data modeling, transactional consistency, and high-throughput architectures
• Leverage NoSQL and caching solutions to optimize performance and scalability
• Collaborate closely with Product, Finance, Risk, and Platform teams to deliver impactful, business-driven solutions
• Participate in system design discussions, code reviews, and best practice initiatives

Requirements

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience, with proven ability to build and scale distributed systems
• Deep expertise in data modeling, transaction management, and system performance optimization
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
• Familiarity with NoSQL and caching technologies
• Excellent coding skills in Ruby, following best practices for code clarity, maintainability, and security
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working cross-functionally across multiple teams
