A DAY IN THE LIFE

In this role, you will…

  • Coordinate the code deployments to production, creating all necessary documentation and facilitating all necessary personnel resources necessary for each release.
  • Manages all software deployments from development through QA and UAT environments.
  • Be a liason between product teams, development teams, Infrastructure/SystemAdministration teams, and QA testing teams to ensure all questions / issues regarding releases and software quality are resolved for timely and stable updates.
  • Coordinate with, and provide guidance for, other Release/Software Configuration Managers.

DETAILED JOB DUTIES

  • Organize, document, automate and deliver software product upgrades throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Define, support and improve Release Management / SCM processes.
  • Maintain application environments and provide technical support to Developers, QA Testers, System Administration and Infrastructure resources and managing application processes.
  • Direct activities to ensure software products are delivered to various teams within defined time lines.
  • Design, develop, execute software builds / releases / scripts / installs / systems including Source Code Control and Issue tracking.
  • Determine / prepare documentation necessary for change control.
  • Microsoft Azure DevOps (ADO) administrator. Admin for source control branching, merging and security. Customization and maintenance of process templates.
  • Microsoft GitHub Enterprise Cloud organization administrator. Admin for source control branching, merging and security.
  • Coordinate, monitor and validate environment refreshes.
  • Design, develop and support all high-quality software updates to application environments (QA / UAT / Production).
  • Coordinate efforts for all production releases (including gathering macro and configuration updates).
  • Perform required source control updates and migrations.
  • Ensure required documentation is created / stored related to code / configuration changes.
  • Coordinate efforts for all builds requests for all platforms.
  • General ticket creation for all environment updates / refreshes.
  • Submit Requests For Change (RFCs) for approval.
  • Create release IDs within ADO.
  • Create and maintain release queries within ADO.
  • Validate proper closure of Work Items (WIs) and RFCs after successful deployments to production environment.
  • Report Release Management activities and status to senior management.
  • Coordinate with, and provide guidance for, other Release Management team members.
  • Ability to reimagine existing processes and redesign the future workflows leveraging AI within secure and compliant boundaries
  • Hands on experience with LLMs, RPA, GPT-based tools in building enterprise grade products
  • Performs all other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 5 plus years professional IT experience.
  • Proficient from a technical standpoint in MSSQL, scripting languages (PowerShell, Python, etc.), .NET concepts, and cloud computing implementations using Microsoft Azure.
  • Highly motivated and self-driven.
  • Well versed in Microsoft Office Suite, including Visual Studio; expereince in software builds and release.
  • Knowledge of .NET, MSSQL, and Microsoft Azure provisioning and deployment methods such as Helm and Terraform.
  • Familiarity with deployment troubleshooting in cloud-native application environments using Kubernetes.
  • Excellent follow up skills, problem resolution skills and ability to limit risks during production releases.
  • Extremely good interpersonal skills.
  • Must exhibit excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to successfully relate, manage and communicate at all organizational levels both written and verbal.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents and technical procedures.
  • Ability to write reports, routine business correspondence and prepare presentations including the ability to prepare business charts and graphs.

WORK CONDITIONS

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Ability to attend work and be productive during normal business hours and to work early, late or weekend hours as needed for successful job performance. Overtime required, as necessary.
