The Role

At AMS, we’re building teams that are curious, collaborative, and committed to doing great work. We're looking for a Senior Recruiter to join our team in Malaysia, supporting a leading global organization within the Oil & Gas industry.

This role is ideal for an experienced recruiter who thrives in a fast-paced, stakeholder-driven environment and enjoys managing complex, niche hiring requirements across the APAC region. As a Senior Recruiter, you will own the full recruitment lifecycle, partnering closely with hiring managers and business leaders to attract and hire top talent across engineering, industrial technology, and oilfield-related functions.

You'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional recruitment outcomes while acting as a trusted advisor to both stakeholders and candidates.

Key Accountabilities

What you’ll do:

• Manage end-to-end recruitment across multiple APAC markets, including Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Japan, Australia, and New Zealand.
• Partner closely with hiring managers to understand hiring needs, define recruitment strategies, and deliver high-quality talent solutions.
• Lead intake meetings and provide market insights, talent intelligence, and hiring recommendations.
• Manage a diverse portfolio of approximately 30-35 requisitions across technical, engineering, industrial technology, and oil & gas disciplines.
• Source, attract, assess, and engage talent through a combination of proactive sourcing, networking, and talent pipelining activities.
• Drive recruitment processes from requisition intake through to verbal offer stage, ensuring a seamless candidate and stakeholder experience.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, becoming a trusted recruitment advisor.
• Collaborate with sourcing, administration, pre-boarding, and wider talent acquisition teams to deliver successful hiring outcomes.
• Ensure recruitment activities are completed in accordance with client requirements, compliance standards, and AMS processes.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve hiring effectiveness, candidate experience, and recruitment outcomes.

Skills & Requirements

• 5-10 years of recruitment experience, with 7-10 years preferred.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, stakeholder management, offer discussions, and recruitment delivery.
• Experience recruiting within the Oil & Gas industry is highly preferred and strongly prioritized.
• Experience supporting technical, engineering, industrial technology, manufacturing, energy, or related specialist hiring environments.
• Strong stakeholder management, relationship-building, and business partnering capabilities.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Experience supporting hiring across Malaysia and broader APAC markets is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across regional and global teams.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and delivering recruitment excellence.
• Willingness to work onsite at the client location 4-5 days per week in Malaysia.
