Senior Quantitative Model Analyst

Location: Cincinnati, OH (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)

Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Quantitative Model Analyst to independently lead and support activities related to model risk management, model validation, and model governance. This individual will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to evaluate the accuracy, reliability, and regulatory compliance of financial models used for pricing, risk measurement, forecasting, and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently perform model validation and model governance activities for bank models.
• Conduct assessments of model accuracy, reliability, robustness, assumptions, methodologies, and implementation.
• Identify model limitations, weaknesses, and risks and recommend enhancements or alternative approaches.
• Support the ongoing development and enhancement of the organization's model risk management framework, policies, and procedures.
• Assist with model inventory management, model change management, and ongoing model monitoring processes.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to support compliance with FHFA AB 2013-07 and FHFA AB 2022-03 requirements.
• Identify and assess risks associated with financial models, including potential errors, biases, and limitations.
• Prepare model validation reports documenting findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
• Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to model risk management and quantitative analytics.
• Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and operational efficiency.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in Model Risk Management, Model Validation, or Quantitative Risk.
• Experience validating or developing financial models within a bank, financial institution, consulting firm, regulator, or rating agency.
• Experience with pricing, risk measurement, forecasting, or decisioning models.
• Degree in Finance, Financial Engineering, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Experience using Python, R, MATLAB, SAS, or similar analytical tools.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to explain model findings, limitations, and risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree or Ph.D. in a relevant discipline.

Compensation

$110,000-120,000 annual salary.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
