About the role

**About the role

Working within a highly collaborative clinical environment, you will provide expert assessment, intervention and therapeutic support to patients and families experiencing a broad range of perinatal and reproductive mental health challenges. A key focus of the position is delivering specialised psychology services for individuals requiring fertility preservation following a cancer diagnosis or other complex medical conditions and treatments that may impact fertility. As a senior clinician, you will also provide professional leadership within your area of expertise, contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives, and work closely with medical, nursing and allied health colleagues to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

Deliver high level Clinical Psychology services (which will include inpatient and outpatient therapeutic services) within the Maternity & Neonatology Multidisciplinary team in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards.
Work cooperatively and effectively within a team and with patients, liaising with patients and their families, other health professionals, supervisors, students and researchers, as required.
Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within the clinical service area and actively participate in initiating, developing and implementing service improvements.
