Job Details:
📍Location: Sims Ave
💰Salary: Up to $6k basic
⏳Duration: Immediate – 6 months contract (renewable)
⏰ Working hours: Monday – Friday, 9.00am – 6.00pm
Employment Type: Fixed-term Contract, Part-Time (5 months, with possible extension by mutual agreement) Work Location: Work-from-home, with periodic on-site attendance for meetings, deliveries, and testing & commissioning (Singapore)
Reports To: Project Director / Management
Project Scope:
- Cooling tower retrofit (CT1–CT3); removal of CT4, CHWP4, CWP4
- Decommissioning of CH4 (remaining on site)
- Replacement of CH1–CH3 and associated CHWP1-3/CWP1-3
- Installation of new BMS/EMS/CPA system
- Green Mark certification pursuit
- Waterside testing & commissioning and associated M&E works
What You'll Be Doing:
- Own day-to-day project delivery; monitor progress, flag slippage early, and coordinate subcontractor sequencing
- Track variation orders and scope clarifications through to resolution
- Manage site safety, access, and permit-to-work coordination
- Liaise with OEMs, the Licensed Electrical Worker (LEW), and the external Green Mark consultant
- Design and personally execute the T&C protocol stage-by-stage through to statutory sign-off (personally witness, verify, and sign off — no ICA or commissioning engineer on this project); track punch list items to closure
- Act as first point of resolution for technical and coordination issues on site
- Run the RFI process; maintain progress reports, minutes, and correspondence logs
- Compile an interim operating manual for the hard-start phase (before EMS connects)
- Maintain the master schedule and flag critical path issues
- Design the handover folder structure/taxonomy; compile as-built drawings, T&C records, approvals, warranties, and O&M manuals; deliver the completed handover package at project close
- Review technical proposals and drawings against scope; advise on sequencing and flag risks
- Run the weekly project meeting (Wednesdays); attend client/subcontractor/ad hoc meetings; keep meeting records
Key Deliverables:
- Up-to-date schedule and RFI tracker
- Stage-wise T&C sign-offs
- Interim operating manual for the hard-start phase
- Completed handover package at project close
- Weekly progress reporting
What We're Looking For:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in M&E building construction, HVAC retrofits, or chiller plant projects
- Proven track record executing engineering projects in Singapore, with familiarity in local site safety protocols and main contractor workflows
- Comfortable working independently in a WFH-based setup with periodic site attendance
- Able to commence work immediately or on short notice
