About the role
About the role
As the Senior Project Manager (M&E), you will play a pivotal role in driving the transition to net-zero across Southeast Asia. You will lead the complete project lifecycle—from technical due diligence and engineering finalisation to procurement, installation, and testing & commissioning—for multi-million dollar industrial chiller plant optimizations, HVAC retrofits, and large-scale solar PV assets. Operating under a zero-CAPEX / Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) business model, you will ensure high-efficiency systems are deployed seamlessly, safely, and on schedule to deliver guaranteed carbon and energy savings for commercial and industrial (C&I) clients.
Key responsibilities
- End-to-end delivery of complex M&E retrofits (HVAC/ACMV, Chiller plants) and Solar Photovoltaic (PV) projects across Singapore and the broader Southeast Asian region
- Formulate comprehensive project execution plans, including master schedules, risk registers, resource allocations, and cash-flow projections
- Supervise onsite installation phases to ensure work aligns precisely with approved engineering schematics, local building codes (e.g., Singapore Green Mark), and strict internal quality benchmarks
- Vet, select, and negotiate technical agreements with Tier-1 OEMs (e.g., chiller suppliers) and regional M&E sub-contractors
- Maintain rigorous oversight of equipment fabrication timelines, shipping logistics, and onsite deployment schedules
- Enforce accountability among contractors regarding timeline milestones, strict Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) parameters, and variation order management
- Oversee testing and commissioning (T&C) procedures for high-efficiency chiller plants and solar grid integrations
- Collaborate closely with the energy engineering team to set up, calibrate, and lock in the Measurement & Verification (M&V) infrastructure required to accurately track guaranteed contractual baselines
- Lead structural handovers from the construction phase to the long-term operations & maintenance (O&M) phase
- Act as the lead technical interface for corporate clients, landlord management teams, and local regulatory utility boards
About you
- Bachelor's Degree or Higher Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Sustainable Energy Systems, or a related infrastructure discipline
- Minimum of 8–10 years of hands-on project management experience in M&E building services, specifically leading chiller plant overhauls, advanced HVAC/ACMV retrofits, or C&I solar PV applications
- Deep practical knowledge of chiller configurations, variable speed drives, building management systems (BMS), and thermal energy storage
- Deep familiarity with local engineering standards (e.g., SS 530, SS 591, and BCA Green Mark requirements)
- Strong commercial acumen with a solid grasp of Energy Performance Contracting (EPC), guaranteed savings structures, or developer-led models
- Exceptional project financial management skills (managing CAPEX variance, contract disputes, and vendor payments)
- SCEM (Singapore Certified Energy Manager), Green Mark Professional (GMP) / Green Mark Advanced Accredited Professional (GM AAP), PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent safety qualifications (e.g., SCAL / BizSafe certifications) highly advantaged
