About the role
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee new build construction projects from pre-construction and planning through to completion and handover.
- Manage the overall project delivery, including project planning, budget, programme, quality, safety and statutory requirements.
- Coordinate and work closely with consultants, architects, engineers, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and relevant authorities to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules, identify potential delays or issues, and implement effective mitigation plans.
- Review and manage project costs, variations, contracts and resources to ensure projects are delivered within the approved budget.
- Provide leadership and direction to project teams, ensuring effective coordination and timely decision-making throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct regular site inspections and project meetings to monitor construction progress, workmanship and compliance with project specifications.
- Identify and manage project risks, resolving technical, contractual and operational issues in a timely manner.
- Prepare and present regular project updates, progress reports and recommendations to the Project Director / Director.
- Ensure all works comply with relevant Singapore building regulations, authority requirements, safety standards and company policies.
- Drive the project towards timely completion, quality delivery and successful handover.
Job Requirements:
- Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Building, Architecture or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction/project management, with proven experience managing new build projects in Singapore.
- Candidates with experience in residential condominiums, commercial developments, landed houses or other new build projects are welcome to apply.
- Strong knowledge of Singapore construction practices, project management processes and relevant statutory requirements.
- Proven ability to manage consultants, contractors, subcontractors and multiple stakeholders.
- Strong project planning, problem-solving, communication and leadership skills.
