As a Senior Project Engineer within the Grid Technologies Substations Project Management team, you will target experienced professionals with a strong background in engineering project management, particularly in the energy and power transmission sectors. You will lead meaningful substation projects that enhance infrastructure for major clients across the UK and Ireland, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. How You’ll Make An Impact
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project professionals, fostering a collaborative environment.
- Oversee the end-to-end execution of substation projects, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Implement and manage project governance frameworks, including risk management and change control.
- Act as an escalation point for complex project challenges, facilitating timely decision-making.
- Manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project management processes and team performance.
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical) preferred.
- Significant experience in project management within the energy, power transmission, or substation sectors.
- Proven leadership experience, supervising professional-level employees and fostering team development.
- Strong capability in applying formal project management methodologies and governance frameworks.
- Demonstrated commercial awareness, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Well-developed stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills across various interfaces.
