About the role

Senior Program Manager – Provider Programs

Looking for a role that goes beyond traditional program management?

We’re looking for a strong strategic program leader who can connect provider needs, business priorities, and organizational strategy to drive meaningful outcomes. This role is equal parts strategy, advocacy, influence, and execution.

You’ll work across the organization to identify opportunities, challenge assumptions, build alignment, and turn ideas into action. Success isn’t about managing a project plan. It’s about shaping direction, making clear recommendations, influencing decisions, and helping deliver solutions that matter for providers, members, clients, and VSP. You'll often be the person helping leaders see around corners, connect disparate efforts, and determine the best path forward.

This is a highly visible role for someone who is comfortable navigating ambiguity, bringing forward clear recommendations, and helping leaders determine where to invest and how to create impact.

What You'll Do

  • Lead end-to-end ownership of large, complex provider programs from strategy through execution, measurement, and optimization.
  • Design and deliver provider-centric experiences that drive adoption, engagement, satisfaction, and business results.
  • Connect organizational strategies across multiple initiatives into an integrated and cohesive provider experience.
  • Champion programs that strengthen and support independent practices, helping them grow and succeed.
  • Shape program direction by bringing forward recommendations, identifying opportunities, and challenging conventional thinking.
  • Align cross-functional teams around shared goals, priorities, and success metrics.
  • Develop program strategies and roadmaps while driving key decisions that ensure successful outcomes.
  • Translate business objectives into scalable solutions with a clear understanding of organizational dependencies and impacts.
  • Establish success metrics, evaluate performance, and continuously enhance program effectiveness.

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 8+ years leading large, complex cross-functional initiatives with accountability for business outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success influencing stakeholders, building alignment, and driving decisions across multiple teams and leadership levels.
  • Strong strategic thinking and communication skills, with the ability to connect business priorities, provider needs, and organizational objectives.
  • Ability to influence without authority, navigate ambiguity, and bring forward clear recommendations that drive action.
  • Ability to balance long-term vision with operational execution.
  • Experience in healthcare, provider programs, network management, or provider-facing initiatives strongly preferred.
  • Experience both building programs from the ground up and evolving mature programs throughout their lifecycle.

Why You'll Love This Opportunity

This isn’t a traditional program management role.

You’ll have a chance to influence enterprise-wide initiatives, advocate for providers, and help shape programs that support independent practices. You’ll partner with leaders across the organization, connect work happening in different areas, and help translate strategy into results.

If you're energized by solving complex problems, influencing without authority, and turning vision into action, we'd love to connect.
