About This Role
The Senior Product Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting Mass Production (MP) and New Product Introduction (NPI) activities across ODM, JDM, and CM partners. This position is hands-on and based at the CM production site in Chonburi Province, requiring occasional travel to other sites.
Responsibilities
- Work as an onsite engineer at the CM production site, acting as Tier 2 support for manufacturing and production-related issues escalated from Tier 1 teams.
- Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective actions for complex production, test, and quality issues.
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI), manufacturing readiness, and production ramp activities.
- Maintain and improve production infrastructure, test systems, tools, and manufacturing processes.
- Collaborate with engineering teams and manufacturing partners to resolve technical issues and improve operational efficiency.
- Drive yield improvement, cost reduction, process optimization, and test capacity expansion initiatives.
- Develop troubleshooting guides, training materials, and knowledge-sharing processes to enhance Tier 1 capabilities.
- Support qualification, deployment, and validation of new hardware, software, and manufacturing solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product engineering, manufacturing engineering, test engineering, or related fields with hands-on experience in manufacturing or production environments.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills with experience using JMP or similar data analysis tools.
- Experience with production test systems, manufacturing processes, and hardware debugging.
- Proficiency in Linux, Python, C++, automation, networking, and data analysis tools.
- Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, leadership, and team management skills with the ability to effectively lead and develop CM/ODM/JDM engineering teams.
- Good English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
