About the role

Summary

The objectives of the position are to:

  • Assist in the design product development process from trend and design concept through to sample development in accordance with strategic planning timelines.

What you'll do

The holder of the position is mainly responsible for the following areas in coordination with his / her superior:

  • Research into new trends, innovations and offer new product ideas
  • Create moodboard, artwork cards, techpacks, may also include graphics and or 3D images/ CGI
  • Design and update products in alignment with key benchmarks
  • Support with selection of appropriate fabrics and trims
  • Collaborate with Merchandising and Quality to ensure product design and fitting is aligned for sample launch
  • Introduce seasonal updates and innovations to help drive department turnover
  • Perform seasonal presentations of design developments from trend to product as required
  • Manage the design and development workflow to ensure timelines are maintained

What you'll need

  • Degree in product design, graphics design or related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years of product development experience
  • Good sense of typography, strong fashion sense, design talent and creativity
  • Must be proactive and committed to working in a dynamics environment
  • Strong team player with great communication skills
  • Proficient in both spoken and written English
  • Previous experience in Kidswear would be an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Office / Google Workspace, Adobe Creative Suite (Design CAD), Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, etc
