Senior Principal Associate - Commercial Procurement Litigation

About This Role

This Senior Principal Associate role focuses on commercial disputes, particularly in public procurement and complex contractual matters, primarily for public sector clients. The successful candidate will be involved in and/or lead these disputes, working across various sectors including healthcare, local government, emergency services, and social housing.

Responsibilities

• Be involved in and/or lead commercial disputes
• Focus on public procurement and complex contractual disputes
• Advise public sector clients in sectors including healthcare, local government, emergency services, and social housing
• Take early responsibility for handling High Court litigation and all forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution
• Prioritise work to meet deadlines
• Contribute to and facilitate collaborative working across the team with contentious and non-contentious colleagues
• Build relationships internally and externally
• Drive forward the development of the commercial litigation practice

Requirements

• 3 or more years' PQE (Post-Qualified Experience)
• Experience of public procurement disputes and complex commercial disputes
• Excellent drafting and communication skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Confidence in managing clients, external counsel, and experts
• Understanding of the public sector
• Experience of working on matters involving public sector organisations
• Highly motivated
• Ability to demonstrate leadership skills
