Duties
The Senior Policy Analyst reports to the WO-302 Chief within the Business Management Office in the Energy, Minerals and Realty Management Directorate. The incumbent serves as the directorate expert and point of contact on regulatory development, analysis, and coordination related to the programs and functions in the directorate.
Major duties include but are not limited to:
- Reviews regulatory analyses for adequacy, completeness, clarity of language, and consistency with legislation.
- Develops and writes policy and guidance for energy, minerals, and realty programs.
- Examines policy deficiencies and material weakness which may require policy and procedure revision.
- Provides detailed and thoroughly researched advice and recommendations to upper level management officials on policies, regulations and developing issues affecting energy, minerals, and realty management programs.
- Identifies current or impending problems, develop solutions, and evaluates proposed solutions to evolving and impeding policy issues.
