About the role
We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to help design, build, and operate our cloud-native platform.
You will play a key role in enabling engineering teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure services through modern platform capabilities across Kubernetes and AWS environments. This role is highly hands-on and requires deep technical expertise in platform engineering, automation, reliability, and developer experience.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain Kubernetes-based platform infrastructure across cloud environments.
- Develop and enhance platform capabilities that improve scalability, reliability, security, and operational efficiency.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code practices.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, GitOps workflows, and platform automation tooling.
- Partner closely with software engineering teams to improve developer experience and platform adoption.
- Support production systems, troubleshoot complex platform issues, and participate in incident response activities.
- Implement observability solutions, including monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance optimization.
- Drive platform standardization, engineering best practices, and operational excellence.
- Contribute to platform architecture decisions and future roadmap initiatives.
- Continuously improve platform reliability, security, and cost optimization.
What You'll Bring
- 7+ years of experience in Platform Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Strong hands-on expertise managing Kubernetes platforms (AWS EKS preferred).
- Experience working with AWS cloud services and cloud-native architectures.
- Strong understanding of networking, security, observability, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Terraform, Infrastructure as Code, and automation frameworks.
- Experience implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices.
- Strong scripting or programming skills in Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages.
- Experience supporting large-scale production environments with a focus on reliability and performance.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with globally distributed teams.
Nice to Have
- Experience operating multi-tenant Kubernetes platforms.
- Experience with service mesh technologies and container security.
- Experience within healthcare, medical devices, SaaS, or regulated environments.
- Exposure to AI-assisted engineering tools, platform intelligence, or automation initiatives.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical leadership within the team.
