About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Senior PCBA/SMT Site Operations Manager to join the team of a leader in the Manufacturing & Automotive space.
This role will oversee site-level SMT operations with a strong focus on production equipment readiness, process compliance, and quality performance. You will partner closely with internal teams and suppliers to improve sourcing strategies, strengthen supplier relationships, and support reliable execution across the operation. The position also calls for a steady hand in driving continuous improvement, automation, and cross-functional coordination in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $107,600 – $156,700 annually
Responsibilities
- Oversee the setup and maintenance of SMT production equipment
- Ensure adherence to changeovers, feeder loading, and component placement
- Monitor SMT line for accurate thermal process compliance
- Conduct in-process inspections for quality assurance
- Document quality issues and corrective actions in MES
- Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on sourcing strategies
- Lead strategic supplier management and relationship initiatives
- Drive continuous improvement and automation within SMT operations
- Support project management as required by leadership
Qualifications
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in PCBA SMT operations
- Competency using automated tools for data analysis
- Ability to communicate effectively regarding pertinent information
- Proficient in developing and maintaining relationships
- Capable negotiator for collaborative agreements
- Strong analytical thinking skills for decision-making
- Results-oriented with a focus on delivering timely outcomes
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently
