About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Packaging Production Designer to help create production-ready packaging artwork and documentation for device products. This contract role offers the opportunity to partner with design, engineering, program management, and manufacturing teams to bring packaging concepts to life for global launches.
Responsibilities
- Develop print-ready packaging artwork for cartons, labels, in-box materials, and regulatory inserts.
- Manage artwork across multiple SKUs, accessory combinations, and regional packaging variations.
- Collaborate with packaging designers, industrial designers, engineers, and program managers to ensure artwork aligns with design intent and production needs.
- Prepare and maintain files that meet print production, dieline, typography, and layout requirements.
- Review artwork for completeness, accuracy, and manufacturing readiness before release.
- Coordinate revisions and version control across packaging programs to support on-time delivery.
- Work with print vendors and manufacturing partners to resolve artwork, proofing, and production issues.
- Maintain packaging templates, documentation, and file libraries to support efficient collaboration and global launches.
Skills
- 7+ years of experience in packaging production design or graphic production for hardware or consumer electronics products.
- Strong proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
- Working knowledge of Figma.
- Experience preparing packaging files for print production, including dielines and manufacturing specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex artwork across multiple products, revisions, and regional variations.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in production materials.
- Experience collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and external manufacturing partners.
- Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience supporting packaging programs for consumer electronics or other complex hardware products.
- Familiarity with packaging manufacturing processes and print production workflows at scale.
- Experience managing global regulatory packaging requirements and localized variations.
- Background working directly with packaging engineers, print vendors, and manufacturing teams.
- Experience reviewing printer proofs and supporting final production readiness.
- Exposure to large-scale product launches with multiple packaging deliverables.
