Responsibilities
- Coordinate submissions and approvals of shop drawings, samples, and method statements with consultants, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
- Attend project and technical meetings to resolve engineering issues and support construction progress.
- Monitor site works and ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead regular M&E coordination meetings to align work sequences and prevent site activity clashes.
- Resolve technical and operational issues with consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to minimize project delays.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation and records.
- Support workplace safety initiatives, including permit-to-work processes and compliance with site safety requirements.
- Coordinate equipment testing, integrated services testing, commissioning activities, and authority inspections.
- Prepare M&E progress reports and other project-related reports for clients and consultants.
- Review operational and maintenance manuals to ensure completeness and accuracy before project handover.
- Ensure compliance with quality, environmental, safety, and sustainability standards, including ISO and Green Mark requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management measures based on project and site requirements.
- Develop value engineering initiatives and cost optimization solutions for M&E systems.
- Prepare M&E work schedules and lead-time planning using Microsoft Project or equivalent scheduling software.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of relevant M&E construction experience.
- Experience working with main contractors or M&E contractors.
- Experience managing M&E works for commercial, industrial, mixed-use development, or institutional projects.
- Proven experience in M&E systems installation, coordination, testing, and commissioning.
- Hands-on experience with ACMV, electrical systems, fire protection and alarm systems, sanitary plumbing, gas systems, lifts and escalators, and swimming pool systems.
- Knowledge of project coordination, authority requirements, and construction compliance standards.
- Experience in risk assessment, project scheduling, and value engineering for M&E projects.
- Safety certifications recognized by BCA (e.g. BCSS) is an added advantage.
- Green Mark-related qualifications is an added advantage.
