Senior Manufacturing Engineer

About This Role

This Senior Manufacturing Welding Engineer role at Honeywell Aerospace focuses on ensuring the quality and efficiency of manufacturing operations. You will develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence. You will report directly to the Engineering Director and work onsite in Torrance, CA.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee advanced manufacturing processes to ensure quality, efficiency, and productivity
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes and drive continuous improvement
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement advanced manufacturing technologies and ensure alignment with business objectives
• Analyze manufacturing data and metrics to identify areas for improvement
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
• Proven experience in advanced manufacturing, welding process optimization, and lean manufacturing principles
• Strong knowledge of welding technologies such as TIG Welding, Electron beam welding, welding automation, etc.
• Knowledge of industry specifications such as AWS D17.1 and AMS2750
• Familiar with GD&T concepts and symbols
• Experience with data analysis and statistical process control
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Proven track record of continuous improvement and project execution
• Familiar with NX or similar CAD software
• Candidate must be a U.S. person, which is defined as a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

• Advanced Engineering degrees like ME (Mechanical Engineering), EE (Electrical Engineering), IE (Industrial Engineer) or Manufacturing Engineer
