Senior Manager, Trade Credit, Thailand will be based in our Bangkok office, reporting to Head of Trade Credit, Thailand and Regional Head of APAC. With the ability to manage Trade Credit Operations, travel when business requires and co-lead underwriting team efficiently, contributing to achievement of Thailand goals and priorities.

How you will create an impact

• Lead and grow the business: Driving profitable portfolio growth in line with AIG’s risk appetite and financial targets.
• Underwriting Excellence: Handle underwriting activities, ensure disciplined risk selection, pricing adequacy, and portfolio quality across both new and renewal business.
• Financial & Operational management: Be accountable for P&L, KPIs and budget performance, manage day-to-day operations and ensure efficient processes and controls.
• Broker & Client relationship: Strengthen and expand relationship with brokers, clients, and key partners; manage commercial initiatives to capture new opportunities and deepen existing relationships.
• Team Leadership & Development: Develop the underwriting team, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with Regional APAC and global teams to ensure alignment on underwriting strategy and portfolio management, while collaborating with local functional teams including Distribution, Risk, Claims, Finance, Legal & Compliance, and other Lines of Business to deliver business objectives and operational excellence.
• Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to AIG policies, underwriting guidelines and local regulatory requirements.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Experienced credit underwriting to cope with complexity of Trade credit business in Thailand, with responsibilities of credit risk analysis, policy structure, underwriting strategy, portfolio performance and driving business growths.
• 7+ years of successful experience in Trade Credit Insurance, Corporate Credit Control, Finance or Banking Industry.
• Strong commercial/business skills. Solid organizational and communication skills are essential.
• Willingness to make decisions, work in a team, quick perception, and good self-organization.
• Established strong relationships with clients and brokers.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); S&P CapIQ, Salesforce, or related financial or business tools are a plus
• A master’s degree in relevant fields (ex. Finance, Accounting, Economics, MBA) is preferred.
• Fluency in English and Thai
