Senior Manager Healthcare Value Proposition

About This Role

This senior management role is responsible for leading and advancing services aligned with Walgreens Health System strategy. It involves developing tools and processes to enhance partnerships with Health Systems and creating strategic recommendations for the Healthcare Value Proposition. The role suits a leader who can drive the implementation and refinement of healthcare offerings.

Responsibilities

• Lead, implement, and evaluate potential capabilities and services to strengthen the value proposition for Walgreens' B2B healthcare customers
• Make recommendations to senior management based on B2B customer needs, market trends, and internal Walgreens assessments
• Work closely with senior management to develop and implement department goals, objectives, and systems aligned with organizational strategy
• Lead the design and implementation of new offerings, including determining operational and financial design elements
• Review business cases for recommended offerings and present to Senior Management for necessary approvals
• Collaborate cross-functionally to create, refine, and integrate solutions, potentially working with B2B customer organizations on co-developed offerings
• Interact with direct reports, peers, customers, and vendors to share information and improve cross-departmental processes
• Identify and develop approaches for monitoring and measuring the success of new value proposition offerings
• Actively participate in broad and complex business development programs
• Keep project team accountable to ensure projects achieve critical milestones and timelines
• Prepare and deliver presentations, updates, and reports to senior management on program progress and initiatives
• Develop strategies for specified areas of responsibility and work cross-functionally to create actionable goals
• Perform as a subject matter advisor to the functional area and become actively involved as required to meet schedules and resolve complex problems
• Advise and make actionable recommendations to stakeholders on strategic initiatives related to area of expertise
• Develop budget for functional area and be accountable for it, delivering against business goals/objectives
• Manage managers, supervisors, and individual contributors
• Allocate available resources to meet operating objectives
• Ensure the ongoing training and development of direct reports
• Develop and mentor staff through on-boarding, open communication, training, development opportunities, and performance management processes
• Build and maintain employee morale and motivation
• Ensure the team is appropriately staffed with required competencies
• Foster a diverse and inclusive workplace

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 4 years of experience in one or more of the following: product management, product development, business strategy development, or strategic management consulting OR High School Diploma / GED and at least 7 years of experience in one or more of the following: product management, product development, business strategy development, or strategic management consulting
• Experience with project management (for example: planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives)
• Experience using business analytical skills including facilitating requirements sessions and documenting activity workflows and business requirements
• Experience in identifying operational issues, recommending, and implementing strategies to resolve problems
• Experience collaborating with internal and external resources to develop strategies that meet department goals
• Experience developing ways of accomplishing goals with little or no supervision, depending on oneself to complete objectives and determining when escalation of issues is necessary
• Experience developing and delivering presentations to various audience levels within an organization
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM function, setting borders, setting column width, inserting charts, using text wrap, sorting, setting headers and footers and/or print scaling)
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft PowerPoint (for example: applying a theme, formatting character spacing, inserting a picture, changing slide layout and theme colors, adding transitions, customizing slide numbers, changing chart style and/or formatting font)
• Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Word (for example: inserting headers, page breaks, page numbers and tables and/or adjusting table columns)
• At least 2 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace
• At least 2 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership, and/or cross-functional team leadership
• Willing to travel up to 25% of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)

Nice to have:

• Master's Degree OR MBA
• Experience in the healthcare industry and knowledge of current trends
• At least 4 years of experience in healthcare operations
• Experience implementing go-to-market strategies
