Impact you'll own

Own the governance, semantics, compliance, and stewardship framework required to ensure high-quality, trusted, and reusable data across GBS and enterprise data ecosystems to drive GBS Spoke and process-focused analytics agenda.

What you'll do

  • Establish, implement and continuously evolve the GBS Data Governance framework, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and strategic objectives
  • Lead the development and maintenance of the GBS Business Glossary, Ontology and critical data definitions to enable consistent business understanding and trusted decision-making. Ensure alignment with Enterprise Semantics
  • Govern data consumption, access, sharing, and stewardship practices across GBS and across data platforms, ensuring compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements
  • Drive Data and AI Readiness initiatives by improving data quality, metadata management, governance controls, and business ownership of critical data assets
  • Partner with Data Product teams and Enterprise (Hub) to ensure governance principles are embedded throughout the data product lifecycle and adoption journey as well as semantics
  • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders across GBS Service Lines, Enterprise/D&A Hub, Functional Nodes, PMI Tech as well as Business Stakeholders teams to align governance priorities and resolve data ownership challenges
  • Promote a data-driven culture through governance awareness, stakeholder engagement, and change management activities that increase trust and adoption of enterprise data assets
  • Help drive GBS Spoke process analytics/Intelligence focused agenda

Skills & Capabilities

  • 12+ years of experience in multinational organizations, with a proven track record in Data Governance, Data Management, Data Strategy, or related disciplines within complex global environments
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, metadata management, business glossaries and data stewardship practices
  • Experience establishing data standards, policies, and controls to ensure data quality, compliance, and trusted business decision-making
  • Knowledge of analytics, data products, AI enablement and enterprise data ecosystems, with the ability to translate governance concepts into business value
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience coordinating cross-functional teams across business and technology functions
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and solve complex data ownership, compliance, and governance challenges
  • Excellent communication and change management skills, with the ability to drive adoption of data governance practices and foster a data-driven culture
