Senior Manager, Capacity Enablement - Orthopaedics

About This Role

This senior manager role functions as the general manager for DePuy-Synthes External Operations manufacturing sites, influencing business results and potentially managing a group of professionals. The core responsibility is to manage all aspects of the relationship with assigned strategic collaborator sites to deliver reliable product supply and total cost effectiveness while meeting or exceeding customer service, compliance, and product requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage the overall platform capacity management process, including monitoring a significant number of capital equipment across strategic collaborator sites and all ancillary projects to manage manufacturing floorspace
• Develop and deploy long-range capacity modeling tools to enable External Operations to effectively plan and support future capacity requirements
• Lead overall Strategic Capacity Governance, driving alignment between internal Supply Chain teams and External Operations
• Lead the development of Strategic Business Cases and oversee CAPEX and OPEX investments for Capacity Enablement Programs across the Global Supply Chain Network
• Support long-term strategies that ensure year-over-year efficiency and capability improvements and enable the success of the strategic plan
• Develop monthly metrics and data in support of key operational performance metrics
• Ensure documentation, training, and archiving are in compliance with business and regulatory policies
• Maintain awareness of current market trends and conditions that affect strategic collaborators, the cost of goods, pricing, and may have operational or strategic implications for the company

Requirements

• Minimum of a bachelor's degree with at least 8-10 years of functional related experience
• Medical technology related experience preferred
• Experience in multiple disciplines of supply chain including External Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, Distribution, or Finance
• Prior experience in managing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and working on supplier agreements is required
• Prior working in Manufacturing Operations, specifically in a GMP environment, is required
• Strong analytical/technical aptitude and competence
• Project management skills and prior experience leading cross-functional projects is required
• Demonstrated self-starter with strong oral and written communication skills, comfortable communicating across functional levels
• Proficiency is required for Internet and MS Office Suite
