About the role
The role
We are looking for an entrepreneurial Senior Manager to help establish and grow our business in Portugal.
This is a high-impact role combining business development, client delivery, and team leadership. You will play a key role in building the local market, developing long-term client relationships, and supporting the growth of the Porto-based team.
Key responsibilities
Business development
- Identify and develop new business opportunities in Portugal.
- Build and maintain relationships with senior decision-makers and local partners.
- Prospect new clients, open strategic accounts, and convert opportunities into consulting engagements.
- Define commercial approaches, contribute to proposals, and support negotiations.
- Develop strong knowledge of the local consulting, IT, and digital transformation market.
Client delivery
- Lead consulting engagements from initial scoping through delivery.
- Understand client needs and translate them into relevant consulting solutions.
- Ensure high-quality project delivery, client satisfaction, and long-term account development.
- Coordinate with internal teams to mobilize the right expertise for each assignment.
Team leadership
- Support the development and management of the local consulting team.
- Coach, guide, and develop consultants as the team grows.
- Help structure ways of working, processes, and local operations.
- Act as a key link between the Porto office and the wider international organization.
Profil Recherché Profile
- Significant experience in a consulting firm, ideally in digital transformation, IT consulting, or management consulting.
- Proven track record in business development, client acquisition, and account growth.
- Previous experience managing teams and/or leading consulting engagements.
- Strong knowledge of the Portuguese market; an existing network in Porto is highly valued.
- Fluent Portuguese and professional English.
- Conversational French is required to collaborate with the wider organization.
- Entrepreneurial, autonomous, resilient, and comfortable building activity from the ground up.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, and commercial negotiation skills.
