Senior Logistics Manager

Lead :

• Lead Warehouse and Customs Brokerage commodity management across Asia.
• Lead and manage the Freight Purchasing team and Logistics Purchasers across ASEAN (including the Philippines) and India.
• Own the Regional Logistics Purchasing Policy and drive continuous improvements in alignment with the Global Purchasing Manual (GPM).
• Lead and own Logistics cost savings initiatives across Asia for both divisions.
• Provide functional leadership and reporting oversight for Logistics Purchasing activities across India, ASEAN, and the Philippines.
• Lead Supply Chain Digitalization initiatives across Asia and align with Global teams on automation and process optimization projects.
• Coordinate, approve, and ensure compliance of logistics spending activities in accordance with company policies and governance requirements, including the four-eyes principle.

Freight Procurement & Category Management (New Section)

• Lead sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management activities for Ocean Freight (FCL and LCL) and Air Freight across Asia.
• Manage regional transportation spend of approximately USD 15-20 million annually.
• Develop and execute regional freight sourcing strategies to ensure competitiveness, service excellence, and supply continuity.
• Lead freight-related RFIs/RFQs, contract negotiations, supplier selection, and implementation activities.
• Liaise and maintain alignment with Global Logistics teams, particularly on global ocean freight bidding and regional implementation activities.
• Coordinate closely with Lear Asia plants and ASEAN locations regarding freight needs, logistics spending, performance management, freight claims, and service improvements.
• Implement and deploy global logistics tools, policies, systems, and standard processes throughout Asia.
• Lead supplier relationship management activities for carriers, freight forwarders, 3PL providers, and logistics service providers.
• Identify, evaluate, and develop new logistics partners while negotiating commercial agreements and driving supplier performance improvements.
• Monitor freight market trends and provide recommendations to support strategic sourcing decisions and business continuity.

Warehousing & Network :

• Lead and own Warehouse service sourcing activities across Asia as per Purchasing Policy and cost savings thru implementation of best-in-class cost model.
• Lead RFI/RFQ of the critical warehousing service, rates comparison and strategic decisions.
• Quarterly review of warehouse footprints and align with operational team.
• Ensure all sourcing related documents in place for internal annual audit. Rectify deviations/incompliances and take action to parallel with the Policy.
• Maintain warehousing contract log across all Asia plants.
• Standardization of warehousing operational process wherever possible.
• Identify savings projects for all divisions and monitor spending and savings monthly.
• Identifying and implementing buyers consolidation projects.
• Support consolidation/network projects initiated by global team.

Customs Brokerage :

• Lead and own Customs Brokerage service sourcing activities across Asia as per Purchasing Policy.
• Alignment with Trade Compliance team before finalizing any new Customs Brokerage service.
• Lead Customs Centralization projects across Asia / by country.
• Follow Due Diligence with all Customs Brokers across Asia.
• Maintain & Manage Custom Brokers issue tracker and review performance monthly.
• Ensure all sourcing related documents in place for internal annual audit. Rectify deviations/incompliances and take action to parallel with the Policy.
• Maintain Custom Broker contract log across all Asia plants.
• Monitor annual spending and saving as per estimated volume and contracted rates.

Freight Claims :

• Guide and provide a training for filing official freight claims.
• Manage claim list and lead claim settlement.
• Report claim management performance quarterly or yearly.
• Negotiate claim settlement term with suppliers directly.
• Manage KPI of LEAR Plants on compliance in line with Global Claim Policy.
• Coordinate with Global team on support required on Freight Claims.

Risk Management :

• Monitor supply chain risk and release market intelligence mainly about supply chain risk or disruptions.
• Send proactive alerts to plants about estimated issue/risk.
• Engage Logistics Service Providers on escalations arising from disruptions.
• Supply Chain Digitalization :
• Align with Global team on the Supply Chain Digitalization projects to be implemented in Asia.
• Complete the ongoing projects and support plant to track the progress.
• Implement and administer Freight Payment Audit services across AP region for both divisions.
• Lead LEAN - Business process improvement projects in AP region.
• ePTA Systems Administration and management. System enhancement in conjunction with Global admin.
• Visibility System management and implementation.
• Monitor transportation market conditions and emerging logistics risks impacting ocean, air, warehousing, and customs operations across Asia.
• Support escalation management with carriers, forwarders, customs brokers, and logistics service providers during supply chain disruptions.

Support :

• Support AP plants & APO team to close FOA/SOX/IC audit issues.
• Validation of Logistics spend, savings / PVR before submitting to Finance/Purchasing Finance.
• Continuous Improvement in Sourcing strategies and RFQ’s methodology.
• Validate logistics spend, savings, freight contracts, and Purchase Value Reductions (PVR) prior to submission to Finance and Purchasing Finance.
• Support plants in evaluating transportation costs, logistics claims, and sourcing recommendations.
• Continuously improve sourcing strategies, supplier management processes, and RFQ methodologies across all logistics categories including freight, warehousing, and customs brokerage.
