About the role

Your Responsibilities

  • Support delivery, configuration, and ongoing operations of a hybrid cloud environment that integrates on‑premises data center infrastructure (private cloud) with public cloud services such as Azure & AWS.
  • Support the design, deployment, and maintenance of cloud services across Azure, AWS, or other enterprise cloud platforms.
  • Manage virtual machines, storage, networking, security groups, and resource configurations.
  • Optimise cloud consumption and costs through governance, tagging, rightsizing, and automation.
  • Implement and maintain cloud backup, disaster recovery, and supporting business continuity.
  • Oversee on‑premises compute, storage, and network environments (VMware, Hyper‑V, SAN/NAS, etc.).
  • Monitor data center capacity, performance, and health to maintain high availability.
  • Manage physical infrastructure where applicable: racks, power, cooling, cabling, hardware lifecycle.
  • Coordinate upgrades, patching, firmware updates, and lifecycle refresh activities.
  • Support hybrid architectures, ensuring seamless integration between cloud and on‑prem systems.
  • Manage hybrid cloud related connectivity solutions (VPN, ExpressRoute, SD‑WAN) and hybrid identity.
  • Implement hybrid management tools (e.g., Azure Arc, VMware Cloud, monitoring platforms).
  • Monitor health, performance, and utilization metrics for compute, storage, backup, and network systems in on premise data centers, proactively identifying risks or opportunities for improvement.
  • Contribute to infrastructure modernization initiatives — including cloud migrations, data center consolidation, platform refresh cycles, and hybrid cloud implementations
  • Apply global governance frameworks, security baselines, and configuration standards consistently across cloud and on‑premise platforms.
  • Collaborate with regional IT teams, application owners, and service managers to understand requirements and deliver infrastructure services that meet business needs.
  • Create and maintain updated documentation covering hybrid cloud environments, including topology diagrams, runbooks, SOPs, service catalogs, and recovery procedures.

Your qualification

  • Minimum of 3+ years' experience in working with cloud technologies and on-premise data center environments, including delivery, operations and developing cloud and DC, strategy and roadmaps
  • Demonstrated experience supporting on-premise data center services, including server hardware, virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware vSphere, HyperV), storage (SAN/NAS), networking components, backup systems, and monitoring tools.
  • Strong understanding of hybrid infrastructure, including how cloud and on-prem systems integrate (networking, identity, monitoring, backup, and security).
  • Experience in cloud and data center migration projects, hardware lifecycle activities, platform refreshes, and infrastructure modernization initiatives.
  • Familiarity with cloud service providers, platforms, products and tools in particular Microsoft Azure and AWS
  • Nice to have: Certification as an MS Azure or AWS Solutions Architect and/or other Cloud Security Certifications
  • Preferably experience in ITIL-based service management and operational support and/or managing Global IT Services and working with global service providers.
  • Experience delivering complex global infrastructure projects in a multinational environments.
  • Travel, domestic or international, may be needed based on project and operational requirements.
