About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Internal Communications Manager, People to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space.

This role will serve as a strategic communications partner to the People organization, shaping messaging that keeps employees informed, aligned, and engaged during periods of growth and change. You will help build trust with leadership communications, support high-stakes organizational moments, and create a clear internal narrative that reinforces culture and transparency. The position also offers the opportunity to establish scalable communication processes and measurement practices that improve how the organization communicates over time.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $205,785 – $242,100 annually

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary internal communications partner for the People team, overseeing strategic communication initiatives.
  • Advise on and craft messaging for high-stakes moments, ensuring transparency and trust during organizational changes and leadership transitions.
  • Manage internal communication efforts for the People team, including town halls and leadership updates to foster alignment and culture.
  • Create and edit a range of content, including executive communications and employee announcements, ensuring clarity and relevance.
  • Establish scalable communications infrastructure, including editorial calendars and measurement frameworks, to support organizational growth.
  • Collaborate with the internal communications team and cross-functional partners to synchronize messaging with the broader corporate narrative.
  • Leverage data and employee insights to enhance communication strategies and support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in internal communications or strategic communications, preferably advising C-suite or VP-level leaders.
  • Extensive experience developing content that drives engagement and adoption, with strong writing and editing skills.
  • Demonstrated executive presence with the ability to influence and build trust with senior leaders quickly.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives while maintaining a unified communication strategy.
  • Experience developing scalable communication systems and measurement frameworks from the ground up.
  • Proficiency in using generative AI responsibly for workflow improvements.
