About the role
Position: Warehouse Design & Flow Engineer (Systems Engineer III)
Location: Fairfield, OH 45014 (Onsite)
Duration: 3-4 Months contract
Pay rate: $77.99/hr. on W2
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and optimize warehouse layouts, storage solutions, and operational workflows.
- Analyze material handling processes and develop efficient flow strategies.
- Support warehouse automation and systems integration initiatives.
- Perform data analysis, capacity planning, and throughput modeling.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, and cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.
- Develop engineering documentation, process maps, specifications, and design recommendations.
- Evaluate warehouse performance metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Participate in project planning, implementation, testing, and deployment activities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Systems Engineering, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience in warehouse design, distribution center operations, or supply chain engineering.
- Knowledge of material handling equipment and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with process modeling, data analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with warehouse automation technologies such as conveyors, sortation systems, robotics, or ASRS.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Visio, simulation tools, or warehouse design software.
- Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent process improvement experience.
- Experience supporting large-scale distribution and fulfillment operations.
