Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and culturally agile global Senior (Sr.) Human Resources Manager to lead our international human resources initiatives. In this role, you will partner with executive leadership to align our people strategy with our global business expansion in a hypergrowth environment.

This leader will play a critical role in building a high-performing, engaged organization capable of supporting the company’s long-term growth strategy. The ideal candidate is a strong people-first leader who can effectively lead through growth and organizational change while fostering accountability, collaboration, and employee engagement.

The successful candidate will be an approachable, visible, and hands-on leader with strong communication and listening skills who builds trust quickly, develops talent, mentors leaders, and creates a culture focused on accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

The Sr. Manager partners closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure safe, efficient, scalable, and customer-focused operations aligned with the company’s strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

  • Model and reinforce the company’s culture, values, and expectations across the global organization.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the General Manager and leadership team.
  • Build strong relationships with leaders and employees across North America and China, recognizing and effectively navigating cultural and regional differences.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, collaboration, high performance, and continuous development.
  • Balance employee advocacy with the needs and objectives of the business.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment, integrity, discretion, and a willingness to address difficult issues directly.
  • This role will be a trusted advisor in providing guidance to executive leadership in navigating sensitive employee discussions and strategic change management.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration across geographic, cultural, and functional boundaries.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business objectives, including workforce planning, organizational design, talent management, and employee engagement.
  • Lead succession planning, talent reviews, and talent pipeline development, identifying high-potential employees, critical roles, and organizational gaps across the global business.
  • Coach and advise leaders on employee relations, performance management, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and change management.
  • Lead recruiting and workforce planning for key positions, partnering with leaders and local resources to attract, develop, and retain strong talent.
  • Manage and support compensation, benefits, performance management, and other HR programs in alignment with company guidelines and local market requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable employment laws, regulations, and company policies, partnering with local HR and legal resources as needed.
  • Use HR metrics and workforce data to identify trends, assess organizational health, and recommend actions to improve performance and retention.
  • Drive consistent HR practices and a strong company culture across regions while recognizing appropriate local and cultural differences.
  • Support effective communication and collaboration across North America and China, helping to build and maintain a connected and high-performing global organization.
  • Collaborate with global site HR teams to resolve workplace issues in a fair and consistent manner.

Job Requirements & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 5–7+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably within an HR Business Partner, HR Manager, or broad HR Generalist role.
  • Experience supporting a global or multi-country organization strongly preferred.
  • Experience within a manufacturing, engineering, technical, or operational environment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience partnering directly with senior business leaders and influencing organizational and talent decisions.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations, performance management, talent management, recruiting, compensation, and employment compliance.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to connect people decisions to business and operational performance.
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across countries, cultures, and organizational levels.
  • Ability to influence and appropriately challenge leaders while maintaining strong working relationships.
  • Strong judgment and ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a fast-paced, decentralized, global environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel internationally, including travel between North America and China, as business needs require up to 30%.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, walking, and working at a computer in office and manufacturing environments.
  • Periodic domestic and international travel, which may involve extended workdays and variable schedules.
