About This Role
This senior, hands-on role is for an experienced HVAC installer to lead new-system installations and set the quality standard on every job. You will lead installs from start to finish, mentor the crew, pull permits, build estimates, and step in on repairs when needed. The role suits someone who takes pride in work done right and wants to help shape how the company installs and operates.
Responsibilities
- Lead and perform full residential and light commercial HVAC installations across forced-air and hydronic systems: furnace, boiler, heat pump, AC, and mini-split set; ductwork, hydronic and gas piping, line sets, electrical, refrigerant, startup, and commissioning
- Install and service indoor-air-quality and ventilation equipment: humidifiers, dehumidifiers, air cleaners and filtration, and ERV/HRV systems, plus thermostats and zoning controls
- Own install quality from first cut to final walkthrough, and make sure every system runs right before leaving
- Pull permits and keep installs compliant with local code and inspection requirements
- Lead and mentor junior installers and helpers, on both craft and customer care
- Step in on repairs and service calls when workload requires, across heating and cooling systems
- Assess jobs, build estimates, and quote work with upfront, honest pricing and no upselling
- Explain the work to customers in simple, honest terms, and deliver what each job actually needs
- Recover, handle, and store refrigerants in full compliance with EPA requirements
- Keep clear job records in field software (Housecall Pro), including accurate parts and time
- Manage truck and job-site materials, and flag parts to order
- Represent the brand professionally in customers' homes: clean, on time, respectful, and honest
