We're looking for a Senior Financial Accountant who is passionate about operational finance and takes pride in producing accurate, reliable financial information. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, investigating discrepancies, improving processes, and building strong relationships across the business. You'll have the opportunity to lead key finance functions, mentor team members, and become a trusted partner to both finance and operations.

POSITION INFO: Job Description: The successful candidate will take ownership of the financial accounting function, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, reporting, reconciliations, and controls. You will oversee month-end reporting, manage debtor and creditor processes, monitor cash flow, and drive process improvements across the finance function. Working closely with operational stakeholders, you will provide financial support, identify opportunities for increased efficiency, and help build a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Skills & Experience: Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports Own the general ledger and ensure the accuracy of financial transactions Manage month-end close processes, including journals, accruals, and provisions Oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functions Monitor debtor and creditor ageing, reconciliations, collections, and payment processes Ensure the integrity of balance sheet, bank, intercompany, and control account reconciliations Investigate and resolve financial discrepancies and recurring issues Manage cash flow reporting and forecasting activities Identify and implement process improvements, automation opportunities, and stronger financial controls Mentor and support finance team members Partner with operational stakeholders to improve financial performance and reporting Support audit readiness and ensure compliance with financial and statutory requirements Minimum 8 years' practical accounting experience in a commercial or operational finance environment Proven experience managing month-end reporting and general ledger ownership Strong exposure to accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, and cash flow management Advanced Excel skills ERP system experience Strong financial analysis and problem-solving skills Previous experience leading or mentoring finance team members advantageous Qualification: BCom Accounting qualification Connect with us on and Register your CV to create a profile and to view all our Financial recruitment vacancies.
