Medical Coding Specialist 5+ Years

We are hiring a Medical Coding Specialist 5+ Years. This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in outpatient surgery, multi-specialty surgery coding, IVR, General Surgery, surgical coding, and medical coding audits who can consistently meet quality and production expectations.

Working Hours 08:00 AM – 05:00 PM IST

Responsibilities –

1. Follow every aspect of the SOP and project-related protocols and instructions.
2. Complete assigned audits with high quality and accuracy.
3. Achieve defined quality and production targets consistently.
4. Escalate coding issues and identify trends in a timely manner.
5. Maintain daily productivity logs, clarification logs, and other applicable logs.
6. Work with Managers/Team Leads to resolve coding-related clarifications and issues.
7. Respond promptly to communications from Managers and stakeholders.
8. Apply strong problem-solving skills to resolve coding and process-related issues.
9. Ensure compliance with applicable HIPAA and OIG requirements.

Requirements –

1. Life Science / Paramedical degree with 5+ years of overall coding experience.
2. CPC / CCS certification or relevant coding certification; CPC/CPMA certification is also applicable.
3. Strong experience in Outpatient Surgery / Multi-specialty Surgery Coding.
4. Hands-on experience in IVR and General Surgery coding.
5. Strong knowledge of surgical coding with the ability to consistently meet quality and production expectations.
6. APC Facility Coding experience is an added advantage.
7. Auditing and denial management experience is optional/an added advantage.
