Senior Ethics and Compliance Specialist

About This Role

This role supports the Ethics & Compliance program at Akamai, focusing on developing and executing day-to-day operations, reviewing inquiries, managing compliance workflows, and enhancing the global program. The successful candidate will work within a highly experienced global team dedicated to advancing Akamai's business interests and protecting its assets and reputation.

Responsibilities

• Lead key compliance workstreams (annual risk assessments, policy refreshes, and regional training programs) under the direction of senior Compliance leaders
• Implement and oversee compliance monitoring procedures, including regular testing, control evaluations, and effectiveness reporting
• Support internal investigations into potential violations of the Code of Ethics, ABAC, and company policies through evidence collection and preliminary analysis
• Act as a trusted compliance liaison for regional teams (Sales, Marketing, Legal, Finance, Audit, HR) and use advanced expertise to resolve complex compliance issues
• Develop tailored training resources for employees and third parties, and contribute to global compliance reporting for executive management
• Provide informal direction to junior specialists, exercising sound judgment within defined corporate policies

Requirements

• Possess relevant academic credentials or equivalent qualifications
• Have 5-7 years of corporate compliance experience, ideally within a technology or multinational corporate environment
• Be English-language proficient in a business context (verbal and written communication skills)
• Be organized, with the ability to work with minimal supervision, multitask, provide follow-through on projects
• Have good time management skills and the ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment

Nice to have:

• CCEP (Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional) or other relevant compliance certification
