About the role
Manage a team of five Environmental Engineers responsible for air, solid waste, and water compliance . Serve as the primary liaison between the site and governing regulatory agencies, while also acting as a bridge between the site and the local community on environmental compliance matters.
Key responsibilities include:
- Keep plant leadership informed of environmental compliance requirements and potential regulatory changes to avoid unexpected obligations.
- Ensure all environmental compliance reports are accurately prepared, reviewed, and authorized in advance of deadlines.
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to identify and resolve environmental compliance challenges.
- Serve as the environmental subject-matter expert for projects and provide guidance on environmental requirements.
- Develop and manage the environmental budget.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biology, Chemistry , or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant professional experience .
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field.
- 8 years of applicable experience .
