About the role
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Participates in standard development committees to represent Intertek and provides inputs to the technical points to support standards development.
- Delivering operational KPIs such as Meeting the promise dates committed to customers, turnaround time, NPS, quality etc.
- Ensure delivery of the technical services is consistent, and in compliance with all the accreditation and organization requirements.
- Visits customer places to discuss the technical aspects and support the sales team to win the deals.
- Works with sales team and engineering team to provide the cost estimation based on the testing and engineering time needed for products evaluation
- To perform all activities necessary to bring 10X growth in the Low Voltage Switchgear Business segment.
- To provide technical expertise in the evaluation, testing, inspection and certification of Low Voltage Switchgear and Control gear products in accordance with applicable IEC, IS and EN standards.
- The position will be responsible for independently reviewing technical documentation, developing test programs, witnessing, and/or conducting testing, evaluating test results, preparing technical reports, and supporting customers in achieving product compliance and certification.
- Review technical drawings, specifications, datasheets, BOMs and circuit diagrams of LV switchgear and control gear.
- Identify applicable product standards and testing requirements.
- Conduct Construction review, Evaluate electrical, mechanical, and thermal characteristics of switchgear products.
Technical Report & Certification
- Prepare and review test plans, test reports and technical evaluation reports.
- Prepare test schedules and identify applicable clauses and test sequences.
- Review manufacturers test data and supporting evidence.
- Identify non-conformities and provide technically justified observations.
- Review corrective actions and verify closure of technical findings.
- Support preparation/review of CB Test Reports (TRF), Certificates and related certification documentation.
- Maintain technical records in accordance with quality-management procedures.
Competency Required in the following standards:
- IEC 60947 series Low-voltage switchgear and control gear
- IEC 60947-2 Circuit-breakers
- IEC 60947-3 Switches, disconnectors, and switch-disconnectors
- IEC 60947-4-1 Contactors and motor-starters
- IEC 60947-5-1 Control circuit devices
- IEC 61008/61009 RCDs
- IEC 60898 MCBs
- IEC 60884-1 Plugs and socket-outlets
- IEC 60669-1 Switches
Preferred Experience
- Preferred hands-on experience handling CB, CE and other global certification
- Ensure that all testing procedures and results adhere to relevant regulatory standards and industry certification requirements
- Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing partners, and third-party testing laboratories to coordinate testing activities and ensure alignment with project timelines and objectives.
- Familiarity with relevant testing standards and regulations
- Any exposure to Testing & Certification is added advantage like CB Certification and/or LTR Status
Qualification: Bachelors degree in electrical/Electronic engineering or equivalent work experience
Relevant Experience:
- 5 -8 years experience related to LV switchgear testing.
- Independent handling of LV switchgear testing projects.
- Good knowledge of IEC 60947 Series Standards.
- Customer interaction and technical evaluation capability.
- Ability to prepare and review test reports.

Overall Role Expectation
The individual should develop into a Technical Reviewer for LV Switchgear Testing and Certification, capable of independently managing projects from initial customer enquiry through technical review, test planning, testing, report preparation, certification support, and final project closure.
The position is expected to contribute not only to technical delivery but also to development of new customers, expansion of testing capabilities, revenue generation and strengthening of the organization's position in the LV Switchgear certification and testing market.
