(Senior) Director - Private Equity Performance Improvement

The Team A&M’s Private Equity Performance Improvement (PEPI) team works with investors and their portfolio companies to provide independent analysis and end-to-end services across the investment lifecycle. Whether serving in a performance improvement advisory capacity or in interim management roles, the team leverages a deep operational heritage and proven approaches, such as the proprietary Rapid Results Program, to assess risks and identify key areas impeding performance.

How You Will Contribute

• Conduct operational due diligence, 100-day planning, post-merger integration, and performance improvement.
• Advise and implement performance improvement programs for major corporations across various industry sectors.
• Evaluate cost reduction and revenue enhancement opportunities.
• Lead post-acquisition work to ensure operational due diligence (ODD) is realized in full and within the shortest possible time.
• Develop and execute robust methodologies to ensure clarity, ownership, and quick wins within the first 100 days.
• Support private equity-owned businesses in improving financial and operational performance.
• Work across complex operational issues, including manufacturing, supply chain management, logistics, and purchasing.
• Contribute to business development activities, including successful pitches and transitioning from diagnostic phases to implementation work.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in selling, diagnosing, and delivering performance improvement mandates within the Private Equity European market.
• Recent track record of successfully selling and delivering major assignments at pre- and post-deal phases.
• Expertise in operational performance improvement, turnaround, or digital transformation mandates.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to conduct deep-dive analysis.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university is essential.
• Fluency in English and Dutch is essential; additional European languages are highly desirable.
• Professional demeanor with the ability to engage effectively with leadership teams in high-pressure situations.
• Willingness to travel across Holland and European regions at short notice.

Desirable

• MBA or financial qualification preferred but not required.
• Cross-sector experience, including telecommunications, automotive, manufacturing, energy, retail, consumer goods, transport, business services, and healthcare.
