About the role
For our client, we are seeking a Senior Director, Platform Programs & Portfolio to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.
This leader will own the strategy and execution of a scalable platform program management operating model across a complex technology organization. The role will drive portfolio governance, program health visibility, and cross-functional alignment while helping shape an AI-native delivery approach for engineering teams.
In close partnership with engineering, architecture, and senior stakeholders, this leader will guide prioritization, manage trade-offs, and strengthen the overall delivery system for large-scale platform initiatives.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $205,000 – $366,630 annually
Responsibilities
- Define and evolve a scalable delivery operating model across the platform organization
- Transform the TPM practice to be AI-native and adapt tooling accordingly
- Lead a high-performing TPM organization with a focus on cross-functional execution
- Provide executive-level visibility into program health and progress
- Drive portfolio governance through prioritization and trade-off decisions
- Oversee end-to-end delivery of complex platform initiatives
- Serve as the senior escalation authority for cross-organizational issues
- Collaborate closely with engineering and architecture leaders to align program planning
- Support the evolution of an AI-native delivery model for engineering
Qualifications
- 12+ years in technical program management or equivalent experience with complex portfolio ownership
- 7+ years leading cross-functional teams or program organizations
- Proven experience in large-scale technology program execution
- Experience in portfolio execution strategy and governance
- Fluency in the software development lifecycle and AI-assisted workflows
- Strong systems thinking and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills with senior stakeholders
- Experience building and leading scalable program and portfolio organizations
- Ability to foster a culture of continuous improvement and experimentation
